Need-based
Aid:
Aiken Prep offers need-based tuition assistance in the form of financial
aid grants. To be
awarded a grant, families must submit a Personal Financial Statement to an
agency in Princeton, New Jersey that projects the amount of tuition a family can
afford to contribute based on income and assets.
The school reviews the results of the form and then awards a grant based
on the availability of funds. Grants
are awarded to current students and then to entering students.
In 1999-2000, fifteen percent of
our students receive tuition assistance and the average grant is $2,250. Family
discount: There is a discount of ten
percent of tuition for each sibling enrolled in the school.
Aiken Scholars:
Each year Aiken Prep awards $500 up to $1,500 merit-based scholarships
through the Aiken Scholars Program. The
Aiken Scholars Program is open to entering sixth and ninth grade students.
Students enter the Aiken Scholars competition by achieving top scores on
the SSAT entrance test. Scholars
are chosen after a review of the application and a personal interview.
The awards are good for all three years of Middle School or all four
years of Upper School as long as the student maintains a B average and is
considered a student in good standing. |
