| ADMISSION PROCESS Aiken Prep has a selective
admission process and admits students as soon as a folder is complete as space
allows. In grades where we are fully enrolled we place qualified students in a
wait pool and inform them when there is an opening. The process for admission includes an admission test
that is offered in an open test setting several times a year or, depending on
the time of year, administered to an individual student.
For admission to Middle and Upper Schools, students sit for the SSAT
(Secondary School Admission Test) that tests student achievement and aptitude.
Aiken Prep chose this test
because the scores accurately predict performance on the SAT test used for in
college admission. Students must complete the application form and
submit samples of writing, a copy of their school transcript and three
references from teachers and friends. Students
are required to visit the school for a personal interview. Once all information is on file and the testing and
interview completed the admission committee decides whether a student is
admitted to the school To download an application, click on the Application button in the left column. Application Check List Grades 4K and 5K:
