The faster way to do business!

Get your company on-line today with Atlantic.Net DSL (digital subscriber lines), a low-cost broadband option that's ideal for businesses that need high-speed Internet connectivity.

Quick Connections
With speeds ranging from 128 Kbps to 1.5 Mbps, DSL gives you enough bandwidth to connect multiple offices, create a virtual private network, run a dedicated server, or hold videoconferences. You can expect data transfer rates up to 50 times faster than a traditional 28.8 Kbps modem.

Dedicated Access
Because DSL works over regular telephone lines, you're already wired up! DSL transfers data at a different frequency than voice communications, so you can talk on the phone while you're on-line and stay connected all the time. That means no busy signals and no need to dial up when you want to browse the Web or check e-mail.

Low-Cost Deployment
Besides freeing up an extra phone line, DSL equipment is less expensive than the hardware required for comparable services such as point-to-point T-1 or frame relay. Plus, set-up fees are usually lower than other types of Internet connectivity, because DSL uses existing phone lines.

Scalable Option
If your team only needs fast downloads, you can choose ADSL, an option that supports different data rates for upstream and downstream data. Otherwise, you can select or upgrade to SDSL, another type of DSL connectivity that lets you upload files as fast as you can download them.

ISDN: The DSL Alternative
DSL is sometimes referred to as a "last-mile" technology, because it's used only for connections from a telephone switching station to an office. Therefore, some customers may not qualify for the service due to the distance from the telephone company to their office location.

In these instances, Atlantic.Net encourages business clients to consider ISDN (integrated services digital network), a comparable and moderately priced alternative to DSL. ISDN connections range from 64 Kbps to 128 Kbps, about three times faster than a dial-up modem. Unlike DSL, ISDN can be installed in remote or rural locations. Contact an Atlantic.Net account representative for complete details on the options available to your business.
