Jacques joined Atlantic.Net in June 1994, lured by Puranik's testimony
of wanting to change the world of technology for non-technical individuals.
He was Atlantic.Net's first "employee." Jacques later
left the company for a few years to pursue his education but returned
in 1998 to serve as a Member Services representative before being
promoted to a supervisor and later general counsel.
Jacques holds a bachelor's degree in Decision & Information
Sciences and a juris doctorate from the University of Florida, and
he is a member of the Florida Bar. As general counsel, Jacques is
responsible for handling Atlantic.Net's legal affairs, reviewing
and drafting agreements, and advising product managers on policies
and procedures. "I like Atlantic.Net because the employees
grow with the company." Jacques also spends his spare time
offering pro bono legal assistance and trying to stay active with
Gainesville's local bar association.
Business Development Representative
Web services whiz
A dedicated member of the Atlantic.Net team, Gerri came aboard in
January of 2001. Besides helping Web hosting customers keep up with
their SSL certificates and domain names, Gerri could win the "Miss
Congeniality" title hands down. She makes sure nobody gets
a case of the Mondays by singing morning greetings and offering
endless wide smiles and comforting words. And if that doesn't work,
Gerri's been known to zap the stress, aches, and pains out of her
co-workers with her magical secret power of massage.
Prior to joining Atlantic.Net, Gerri worked in the Philippines for
Duplex Satellite for Broadband. Gerri says she likes working at
Atlantic.Net because it's fun and friendly, and she has had the
opportunity to learn more about the Internet industry. Gerri holds
a bachelor's degree in Enterprise Economy from University of St.
LaSalle, Bacolod City, Philippines and enjoys traveling, making
new friends, and learning new things.
