DUESOUTH ULTRA SDSL FOR BUSINESS: OVERVIEW |
|
WHAT
IS SDSL?
|
|||
| SDSL is an ultra high-speed business-grade circuit which provides corporate LANs access to symmetrical bandwidth at substantially less costs than conventional point-to-point circuits. | |||
| WHY SDSL FOR OUR BUSINESS? | |||
| |||
|
WHY
NOT ADSL?
| |||
|
ADSL is an asymmetrical product which is being marketed towards consumers, not businesses. It is not symmetrical, i.e., it delivers more bandwidth one way than the other. | |||

WHERE
CAN I GET DUESOUTH ULTRA?
| |||
|
As we begin with this technology, availability is very limited. Right now we are only offering it in Boston and its suburbs, though we expect to have 10-20 cities online at the end of 1999. We do not foresee DSL services being available in South Carolina in the immediate future because there are at present no vendors of SDSL infrastructure in the state. BOSTON ROLL-OUT

WHAT
DO I NEED?
| |||
|
The DSL Circuit We provision everything you need. The setup costs and monthly costs are all-inclusive. Equipment FLOWPOINT SDSL routers are supplied with each circuit. The "router" plugs into your LAN's ethernet and can assign addresses to your LAN's computers so they can access the 'net invisibly. Beyond that, there's nothing else you need. Setup and configuration are handled by Network Technicians - your router is shipped to you plug and play. |
