Anne Lattimore grew up in Aiken, South Carolina, a town renowned for its horse training industry. She developed into an accomplished equestrian before turning her focus towards the arts. She began her studies with Freeman Schoolcraft at Augusta College in Georgia. Afterwards, she was awarded a scholarship to study under Hiram Williams at the University of South Carolina's summer school of art and painting at Hilton Head Island. She completed her studies at the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota Florida. She continued to study with Ilona Royce Smithkin. Anne's Fascination with the styles and techniques of the Masters led her to independant study abroad, where she traveled the great museums of England, France and Italy. The French Impressionist and the Classical Post have been important influences on her painting.
