$$$ MONEY-SAVING TIPS $$$
The Equation of Smart Page Design
Setting up a page within your budget can be as easy as this equation:
creativity + smart design = savings. Here are some tips that really add
up:
- Keep clear of bleeds (designs where the color runs off the edge
of the page). Bleeds equal higher printing costs.
- Stick with standard size pages, like 8 1/2" x 11" (letter)
or 11" x 17" (tabloid). Printing with unusual sizes can multiply
your expense.
- If possible, place a smaller document on a letter size page twice.
The printer can then print two on a page (printers call this printing method
"two up"). The printer can then cut the paper to size and reduce
costs.
- Avoid putting two documents on a tabloid size page if they can
fit on a letter size page p; printing on tabloid size can more than
double the cost.
