Secondary School Placement

The Director of Admission and Secondary Placement works closely with parents and students beginning in the fall of the ninth grade year. Both parents and students are encouraged to read materials and check out videos from the Placement Library. In addition, students are informed of scheduled visits by representatives from leading secondary schools across the nation. During the fall and winter months, the Director helps boarders schedule required testing and visits to secondary boarding schools, as well as serving as a resource person throughout the application process.

Recent Aiken Prep graduates have matriculated at a number of leading secondary boarding schools, including Asheville, Baylor, Brooks, Choate-Rosemary Hall, Lawrenceville, McCallie, Northfield Mount Hermon, Phillips Academy, Andover, Westover, and Woodberry Forest. Day students are well prepared for entrance into both local public schools and independent day schools in the Aiken/Augusta area.
