Boarding and General Facilities

Dormitory facilities, including the Arthur J. Sullivan Dormitory (renovated in 1992), contain five faculty apartments and fifteen dormitory rooms that can accommodate 2 or 3 boys each, as well as a TV room and a game/snack room. The 12 Boarding faculty members, including the Headmaster and Assistant Headmaster, share weekday and weekend duty and are responsible for creating the family atmosphere that is the hallmark of the School. A nurse is available during the academic day, a local physician is always on call, and the Aiken Regional Medical Center is just under two and a half miles down the road. In addition to daily dormitory living, boarding students are able to spend time with day student host families. These families provide the security and support of a genuine home environment by inviting boarders for meals, activities, and periodic weekend or vacation visits, and by remembering special occasions such as birthdays.
